A One-Day Peak District 4x4 Adventure
Experience an unforgettable one-day journey through the rugged, dramatic and beautifully varied landscapes of the Peak District. This guided 4x4 tour is designed for those looking for a more adventurous route, combining scenic countryside with exciting off-road driving and some of the region’s most memorable lanes.
Your day begins just outside Matlock, where we meet for a briefing before heading out towards the renowned Chatsworth Estate and deer park. From here, we take a different route across the Peak District compared with our scenic tour, giving you a more engaging and varied off-road experience.
As the route continues, we make our way towards Chrome Hill, passing through classic Peak District scenery and tackling a mix of climbs, descents and uneven tracks. Along the way, there is also a fun water splash to add to the adventure.
The terrain becomes slightly more challenging as we approach the lanes around Chrome Hill, weaving through rugged routes that showcase the wilder side of the Peak District. With experienced tour leaders guiding the way, you can enjoy the challenge while feeling supported throughout the day.
After lunch, we head towards the old Cat and Fiddle road and the beautiful town of Buxton. This section of the tour brings even more variety, with rocky slopes, undulating tracks and far-reaching views across the surrounding countryside.
As the day draws to a close, we return towards town after a memorable day exploring the Peak District by 4x4. Expect rocky climbs, scenic trails, water crossings, great views and the satisfaction of experiencing one of England’s most iconic landscapes from a completely different perspective.
