Founder of Timeless Overland

My journey into the world of overlanding began in 2008 when I was invited to lead a group trip for West Midlands 4x4 Response. That experience sparked a lifelong passion for 4x4 travel, and over the years, I’ve had the honor of leading tours for various organizations. In 2016, I founded Timeless Overland, combining my love for adventure, meeting new people, and exploring diverse cultures.

Whether it’s climbing mountains, navigating challenging trails, or embracing adrenaline-pumping activities, my strong sense of adventure continues to drive me forward.

In 2020, I became a certified 4x4 instructor with specialized training in winching and self-recovery techniques. As a proud member of a Yorkshire-based Mountain Rescue team, I’ve also honed my skills in search and rescue operations, adding an extra layer of expertise to every journey.

I’ve led overland tours through some of the most stunning regions worldwide, including:

• Europe: France, Spain, the Alps, Italy, Corsica, Portugal, Norway, Sweden, Denmark, and Germany.
• Africa: Morocco.
• United States: California, Arizona, and the Nevada desert.

Meet Abbie – Adventurer, Explorer, and Cultural Enthusiast

Abbie joined the Timeless Overland team in 2021, bringing her passion for travel, mountains, and a deep appreciation for local cultures and cuisines. With adventures spanning 57 countries, she has immersed herself in diverse traditions and tasted the world’s most unique culinary delights.

Her adventurous spirit has taken her on three multi-month overlanding expeditions, navigating breathtaking landscapes and engaging with local communities. These experiences have given her invaluable insights into the customs, lifestyles, and stories that make every destination extraordinary.

• Australia: Crossing the Simpson Desert.
• Africa: Exploring South Africa, Namibia, Botswana, Tanzania, Kenya, and Malawi.

Meet Murray – Passionate Greenlaner and Skilled Guide

Murray joined the Timeless Overland team in 2022, bringing along his trusty Toyota and a wealth of experience. His journey with us began in 2021 when he joined our Wild Wales tour. He quickly became a regular, drawn to our seamless trip planning and the camaraderie of our adventures.

Recognizing his passion for greenlaning and his extensive knowledge in the field, I knew Murray would make an exceptional second guide. After a lengthy conversation, he officially joined the team. Since then, Murray has guided numerous tours across the UK, joined us in France for our Normandy tour, and we look forward to having him join us on future expeditions in Africa.

Over the years, Murray has owned more Land Rovers than you can count on your hands and feet combined—a testament to his deep love for off-road exploration.
