North Wales home to some of the best landscapes in Wales, Along with some of the best trails there is to offer. Our trip takes you along some of the hidden gems of lanes North Wales has to offer.
Starting off in Oswestry we slowly make our way west though open fields, forests and taking in some of well know and the less well known routes in the area including the well known splashy lane. This takes us up to lunch hear we head towards our camp location with a half hour stop off at Lake Vyrnwy, built in the 1880s for Liverpool Corporation Waterworks to supply Liverpool with fresh water. It flooded the head of the Vyrnwy valley and submerged the village of Llanwddyn. a time to take a few photos, have a ice cream or a cup of tea. Once at our camp light the fire and relax for the evening.
From camp in the morning we make our way west towards Dolgellau Via a nice water crossing which is accessible all times of the year. following on we pass though fields and track which offer views of snowdonia in the background.
Once we reach Dolgelleu we head up onto the famous Bomber lane named after the Boeing B-17G 44-8639 of the 351st Bombardment Group, USAAF, which crashed on Craig Cwm Llwyd on the 8th June 1945. On this lane so many get blown away at just how magical the views are here. Before finally making our way back down towards the coast to finish up for the day.
There is chance to extend this day for vehicles suitable to drive the well known Machynlleth Horseshoe (AKA Bastard Lane). This lane of course been the toughest it is totally you too you and we are there to guide you and advise you on your vehicle.
