Join us for an unforgettable long weekend exploring the stunning French coastline — from historic D-Day beaches to scenic off-road trails.
Depart the UK on Friday, spend three incredible days adventuring through France, and return home on Monday afternoon, full of memories, history, and breathtaking views.
🌅 Overview
This adventure combines coastal exploration, off-road excitement, and rich history, travelling along unpaved roads and rural routes that showcase the best of northern France.
We’ll visit iconic World War II landmarks — including Pegasus Bridge, Gold Beach, Arromanches Landing Museum, and the British War Memorial — all while enjoying relaxed evenings at our central campsite, which remains set up for the duration of the trip.
🗓️ Itinerary
Day 1: Departure from the UK
We’ll set sail from Portsmouth or Newhaven, bound for France on a 4-hour crossing.
Upon arrival, we’ll travel directly to our campsite — unless you’re already joining us from our Marquenterre Weekend Tour.
Settle in, relax, and get ready for the adventure ahead!
Day 2: The D-Day Experience Begins
After breakfast, we’ll head to Pegasus Bridge, where you’ll have time to explore the museum and learn about this key moment in history.
From there, we’ll continue along the coastline via scenic green lanes, visiting:

The British War Memorial at Gold Beach
After a full day of exploration, we’ll return to camp for a relaxing evening. Enjoy dinner in town or at the campsite — and don’t forget to order fresh pastries for the morning!
Day 3: Coastal Trails & Historic Landmarks
Our journey continues along the coast, passing through Omaha Beach and stopping at:

The day concludes at the legendary Utah Beach, before returning to camp for one final night under the stars.
Day 4: Homeward Bound
After breakfast and packing up camp, we’ll head back toward the ferry port for our return journey to the UK, bringing an incredible weekend to a close.
