The New Hilux

Sept 2021 we took delivery of our new tour vehicle for Europen tours when are good to travel again.

Went decide to go for the Invicible X model in bronze which we feel is a best colour in our opinion.

So how does it drive ?

we have previously driven the older 2012 model which is the only vehicle other hill we can compare it too. Between the two the new model is a much smoother drive and definitely more car like which make great for long drives.

Also although the suspension is much the same as previous models there is a smoother ride on the road.  With the adaptive cruise control and lane assist it does make long drives a breeze. One thing we do love is the Power button which increase torque to the engine great if you towing or climbing steep hills.

Offroad

Designed to tackle the toughest conditions

We haven't fully tested the vehicle of all its capability's yet, but we have been done some good climbs. with the aid of 4low Auto Lsd and also factory rear diff locker it made of ease of the climbs we have struggled up before in our Discovery 3. There isnt a huge amount of flex on the rear and the front been IFS we are expecting some wheel lifts,

Features a 29-degree approach angle, 26-degree departure angle and 293mm ground clearance (Double Cab models). It’s also capable of wading to a depth of 700mm.

Were looking forward to getting this vehicle built for touring over the next 12 months and will keep you all updated with the build process.
